Of Despair And Overconfidence

Okay. I get it. Kansas did not go our way.

In the first state battle since Roe was overturned,
the pro-life movement lost.

And now today, a lot of pro-lifers are running back and forth like ducks in a carnival shooting gallery, wringing their hands and flapping their arms. Meanwhile, the baby killers are strutting around and assuring us that this is the way it’s going to be in every state.

Look, I couldn’t possibly care less about how the pro-choice mob reacts to what happened in Kansas, but what I want my fellow pro-lifers to understand is that this is just the first round of the fight. Yes, we got knocked down, but we’ve been knocked down in the past and we should expect to get knocked down a few more times before this fight is over.

The only thing that matters is that we always get back up.

The other thing I ask you to remember is that our enemies have a long history of getting beat because they believed their own press clippings and got overconfident. If what I’m seeing online is any indicator, they may be heading down that dusty trail again.

The point is, don’t despair over this one setback. God promised you that the gates of hell would not prevail against you, so just do your duty and trust Him to deliver the victory.

From the beginning, the pro-life movement has been abandoned by those we should have been able to count on, betrayed by those we trusted, ridiculed and demonized in the public square, and ignored by a society on moral decay. But through it all, even in times of relentless darkness when there seemed to be no possibility of victory, we took the enemy's best shots and stayed on our feet. - Life Dynamics
