The first all-girl quintuplets have been born in the US after their parents refused to abort any of them through “selective reduction” another term for abortion.
When parents Danielle and Adam Busby were told they were expecting quintuplets they were surprised.
But when the doctor suggested that they “selectively reduce” or abort some of their daughters they refused.
“At first they didn’t want us to have all five. They wanted us to reduce,” Danielle told Houston’s ABC13, “And our hearts just couldn’t do that.”
On the couple’s blog they recount the visit:
We tried to prepare ourselves going into this visit, because we knew that it wasn’t going to be fun. This is the visit where the Doctor tries everything he can to scare us into “reducing”(aborting) down to a more manageable number. We heard nothing but the negative side of everything and all of the worst case scenarios in having 5 babies. Trust me, we have done our research over the past 10 weeks on everything bad that can happen. He talked to us about all the percentages and risks involved with reducing vs. keeping all 5 to delivery. He told us that most of the patents that he has end up choosing to reduce (which makes me sick to my stomach) and if we decide to go that route, he would reduce from 5 down to 2. The craziest part about it was that the reduction procedure alone will jeopardize all of the babies and there was about a 13-14% chance that none of the babies would survive the procedure. A few minutes later he told us that there was about a 12-13% chance that none of the babies were going to make it to the end if we choose not to do the procedure. That is crazy to me!
We held by our convictions as Christians and told him that our heart would not change and we were committed to these 5 little miracles to the very end, no matter the outcome. Our God is much bigger than this and we trust that he is holding all 5 of these babies in his hands. He has a plan for our family and we are not going to make a decision based on the possibilities of what bad could happen. There is way too much good if we rely on our faith in Him.
The couple said they struggled to get pregnant with their now three year old daughter and when they heard they were having even more girls their friends and family offered to help by donating car seats and infant clothes.
The girls were born in Houston at The Woman’s Hospital of Texas on April 8 at 4:41 p.m.
“I was truly impressed with how smoothly everything went. All 5 Babies were out and off to the stabilization area within 4 minutes! Wow! Don’t blink or you’ll miss a baby flying out the door! Good thing that we had someone in the room filming!” they wrote.

Hazel Grace: 2 lbs 0oz 13.4 Inches
Riley Paige: 2lbs 4oz 14.2 Inches

Danielle and Adam say their faith has gotten them this far.
“He will provide,” Danielle said, “He will provide.”
“We are so thankful and blessed,” Danielle Busby said, “and I honestly give all the credit to my God.”
On day three, the couple made this video to update their family telling supporters each one of their five new daughters have their own unique personalities.
The girls do have some medical issues to overcome and the couple would appreciate continued prayers.
We are praying for you, here in Omaha, NE. What a witness your family is to trusting, in the Lord. As my husband struggles to live just a few more days, he is so happy to offer all this to God for your family. We believe God honors our sufferings offered for others, so may God give you continued faith, Hope and Love.
What a lovely story. Congratulations on not allowing the doctors to kill any of them. I wish you the best of luck bringing up your 5 new children.

Fading Conviction of Abortion Clinic Workers
For those who work at abortion clinics and see the remains of the tiny human beings killed there, there is no room for uncertainty or ambiguity. In order to do what they do, they have to be totally and unconditionally convinced that their actions are morally defensible; and a growing number of them no longer are.
