Former abortion doctor, Dr. Anthony Levatino carried as sign which read “I regret performing abortion” during the January remembrance of the infamous decision which legalized abortion, Roe v. Wade.
This is Dr. Anthony Levatino, now a pro-life physician who says he performed as many as 1,200 abortions, before a Congressional committee asking them to ban abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy.
During the Walk for Life in San Francisco, Fr. Frank Pavone, national director of Priests for Life, introduced members of the Silent No More Awareness Campaign.
He told the crowd that they would hear from women and men who regret their abortions as well as abortion clinic workers who once participated in abortion.
Braddah Randy Vibal Damron recorded the event, which you can view here:
Recently the pro-life group Heroic Media uploaded a video where men, who regret their participation for abortion, offer an apology.
The video shows the impact abortion is also having on the lives of men.
In February, Priests for Life and the Silent No More Awareness Campaign introduced a new project called: Healing the Shockwaves of Abortion.
According to their website, the goal of Shockwaves is to reach out to those impacted by the loss of a child through abortion: Parents, grandparents, siblings, friends, abortion clinic workers and even the abortionists themselves.
In February of 2015, on the pro-life TV show, Life Talk TV, recorded in the studios of Life Dynamics Inc., Fr. Frank Pavone explained the project, “The basic tenant of it is very simple, abortion hurts everybody. We know it kills the baby, we know it hurts the mother. There’s been increasing awareness that it hurts the dad as well. We know it hurts the abortion clinic workers themselves and the pain and the devastation and conflict it gives to them.”
“But, how about siblings?” Fr. Pavone asks, “How about aunts and uncles? How about the parents of the person who gets the abortion? How about the friends that drove them there? Everybody’s impacted,” he states.

Fr. Pavone points out that even pro-lifers are impacted, “And the pro-life activists who tried to save those lives but failed. We face that every day. We’re trying to save all these lives. Much of the time we don’t save them. And, how does that impact us? Well, it impacts us very deeply. And, we’ve got to be able to admit that and to grieve that properly lest it turns into bitterness or discouragement.”

“Abortion will not have the last word. The last word belongs to mercy and to life,” Fr. Pavone told the crowd at a pro-life rally recently.
