A sand sculpture entitled, “Life” has one first place in a contest in New Hampshire.
The 15th annual Hampton Beach Master Sand Sculpting Competition brings the best sculptors from across the globe to the soft sands of the Seacoast.
“It’s a worldwide event where we fly in sculptors from all across the U.S., Canada, and Europe. They’ve come from as far as India to compete in this sculpturing competition,” said John Kane of Hampton Beach Village District, to WMUR.
Sculptors had a total of 24 hours over three days to imagine, build, and sculpt their art.
Ontario artist, Karen Fralich, said the piece was inspired in part after her good friend had recently become a “dad.”
Last year, Life Dynamics reported that a sand sculpture at an event in Florida captured the miracle of a human baby!
The sculpture entitled “Miracle of Life” displayed the beauty of a baby cradled in his Creator’s hands.
It was selected as the “People’s Choice” by attendees at The Siesta Key Crystal Classic Master Sand Sculpting Competition.
Creator Jim Gowdy said that he created the sculpture with his partner Jan Zelinka and that the sanctity of human life motivated his design, “What a miracle it is for a man and a woman to create another life,” he said.
