Texas Governor orders investigation of Planned Parenthood after ghoulish baby body parts vid surfaces

The Governor of Texas has ordered an investigation into Planned Parenthood after an under cover video showing them selling aborted baby body parts went viral yesterday.

The shocking three year undercover investigation, dubbed the “Human Capital” project, was conducted by the The Center for Medical Progress (CMP) and directed by CMP project lead David Daleiden. The group obtained audio and video recordings of Planned Parenthood administrators and abortionists casually agreeing to sell freshly-extracted parts from their abortions, and will be releasing the horrific admissions over the next few weeks.

Gov. Gregg Abbott announced the investigation on his twitter page writing, “I already sued Planned Parenthood for Medicaid Fraud. Now Texas will look into these organ harvesting claims.”

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton followed up with this statement, ““The Office of the Attorney General has launched an official investigation into Planned Parenthood following the release of a video that details the organization’s calculated slaughter of human babies to maximize the available body parts they plan to sell,” Paxton said in a statement.

Several hours after the video went public, the abortion giant which has been caught skirting mandatory reporting laws and covering for child sexual predators flew into damage control mode by issuing a statement which the pro-abortion media refusing to challenge.

It read:

“In health care, patients sometimes want to donate tissue to scientific research that can help lead to medical breakthroughs, such as treatments and cures for serious diseases. Women at Planned Parenthood who have abortions are no different. At several of our health centers, we help patients who want to donate tissue for scientific research, and we do this just like every other high-quality health care provider does — with full, appropriate consent from patients and under the highest ethical and legal standards. There is no financial benefit for tissue donation for either the patient or for Planned Parenthood. In some instances, actual costs, such as the cost to transport tissue to leading research centers, are reimbursed, which is standard across the medical field.

“A well funded group established for the purpose of damaging Planned Parenthood’s mission and services has promoted a heavily edited, secretly recorded videotape that falsely portrays Planned Parenthood’s participation in tissue donation programs that support lifesaving scientific research. Similar false accusations have been put forth by opponents of abortion services for decades. These groups have been widely discredited and their claims fall apart on closer examination, just as they do in this case.”

They then claimed that the video was “heavily edited” despite the CMP releasing the full version online.

The Center for Medical Progress quickly responded to the above allegations by the profitable organization:

Planned Parenthood makes two key admissions in their statement today: 1) aborted fetal parts are harvested at their clinics, and 2) money is exchanged in connection with this. They also tell several lies: 1) That proper consent is obtained from patients, 2) That Planned Parenthood does not make money off the body parts, and 3) that everything is legal.

The Center for Medical Progress has obtained an advertisement to Planned Parenthood clinics (http://www.centerformedicalprogress.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/StemExpress-flyer.pdf) from StemExpress, LLC, one of the major purchasers of Planned Parenthood’s aborted fetal tissue. This flyer advertises 4 different times the financial benefit that Planned Parenthood clinics can receive from supplying fetal tissue, with the words: “Financially Profitable,” “Financial Profits,” “financial benefit to your clinic,” “fiscal growth of your own clinic.” The advertisement carries an endorsement from Planned Parenthood Medical Director Dr. Dorothy Furgerson.

None of this is standard across the mainstream medical field, but it is standard across Planned Parenthood’s insular and unaccountable abortion field.

CMP has uploaded several documents they obtained in their investigation, some containing orders of the aborted babies to Stem Express.

Above is an image of one page from a procurement log of baby parts, CMP said were harvested from Planned Parenthood Mar Monte’s flagship abortion clinic in San Jose, CA, on January 10, 2013. A total of 9 specimens were harvested from 8 different fetuses by StemExpress. At the time, StemExpress paid Planned Parenthood $50/specimen, so this one day of procurement at one clinic yielded $450 for Planned Parenthood Mar Monte. StemExpress also harvests from PPMM clinics in Sacramento, Fresno, and Stockton, and so a similar yield at those clinics just one day per week means at least $1800/week, $7200/month, and $86,400/year for this Planned Parenthood affiliate.

The image below is a record CMP said was taken from the StemExpress task page shows orders for fetal body parts for March 20 and March 21, 2013. 16 baby parts were ordered on 3/20, and 3 on 3/21.

Blogger Jill Stanek evaluated the Stem Express brochure mentioned by CMP further, stating that it, “appears specifically tailored for distribution to Planned Parenthood abortion clinics. It includes an endorsement of the company by “Dr. Dorothy Furgerson, Planned Parenthood Mar Monte.” Furgerson is Chief Medical Officer of this PP affiliate, which is in California.”

Stanek posted screen grabs of several places in the brochure which refer to Stem Express services being financially beneficial to their partners, she writes:

“The brochure several times touts profits as an incentive to “partner” with Stem Express, a company that buys and sells aborted baby parts (and whose website is suddenly this morning went into “Maintenance Mode.”) – “Financially Profitable,” “fiscally rewards clinics,” “Financial Profits,” “financial benefit to your clinic,” “fiscal growth of your own clinic.” It cannot be parsed any other way than there is money to be made trafficking aborted baby parts.

“And the company was wooing, at least in part, Planned Parenthood affiliates

.”

In addition to implicating Planned Parenthood in the ghoulish industry of chopping up aborted babies for parts, Planned Parenthood’s Senior Director of Medical Services, Dr. Deborah Nucatola also admitted that they hold 40% of the abortion market and recommended another notorious abortion clinic to “actors” posing as buyer of baby parts.

In addition to Governor Abbott others calling for investigations include Texas Senator and GOP 2016 Presidential hopefuls Ted Cruz and Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal. Former Texas Governor Rick Perry and Carly Fiorina have slammed Planned Parenthood for selling body parts of aborted babies

Congress is also being asked to launch a full investigation.
