An Oklahoma TV station has reported that eight more patients have come forward to talk about their experiences with an abortionist arrested and charged with fraud earlier in the week.
Tuesday, Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt charged 62-year-old abortionist Nareshkumar Patel with three counts of obtaining money under false pretense after improperly prescribing abortion-inducing drugs to patients he said were pregnant, but were not.
“After an undercover investigation, our office today arrested an abortion doctor in Oklahoma City on fraud charges for prescribing abortion-inducing drugs to patients who were not pregnant. This type of fraudulent activity and blatant disregard for the health and well-being of Oklahoma women will not be tolerated. Oklahoma women should be able to trust that the advice they receive from their physicians is truthful, accurate and does not jeopardize their health,” Pruitt stated.
One of the women, who chose not to be identified, contacted News9 after she read a story they published about the abortion doctor’s arrest. She said that she is very concerned about the abortion Patel performed on her, “He had that stone cold poker face, just I’m here to do one job,” she said.
She told News9 that she had calculated that she was about 11 weeks along but said that Patel’s disagreed.
“And he pressed down really, really hard,” she recalled. “And I said, ‘That hurts a little bit.’ And he didn’t say anything. He said you’re only seven weeks. And the fact that it was that fast that he could say you’re only seven weeks was like, ‘Uh huh.’”

The patient says that she feels Patel and his Outpatient Services for Women abortion facility took advantage of women who came to him for abortions.
KFOR reports that a woman who had an abortion from Patel called her experience torture.
She claims Patel, who charged her $1000.00 for the procedure, lied to her about how far along she was in order to charge her more money for an abortion., reports KFOR.
More from their report:
“I went back, and they quickly did this ultrasound and he immediately said ‘You’re two weeks further along than what you’re telling me,’ and I said, ‘I don’t know how that could be,” she said.
She was scared and didn’t know what to do.
“They said, ‘Well, that’s going to be another $500,” she said. So, she paid them.
“A nurse came into the room and strapped my wrists down to the table. They strapped my ankles down where my feet were, and she held my forehead down to the table,” she said.
She says they didn’t give her any anesthesia and the pain was unbearable.
“I’d never known anything like it in my life. It was like torture,” she said.
The investigation on Patel was sparked by a complaint filed by Operation Rescue with the Attorney General’s office earlier this year after receiving incriminating information about Patel and his abortion business from an informant.
Since his arrest, Patel has bonded out of jail.
