The pro-choice crowd has always claimed that no one knows when life begins. But modern technology – like ultrasound – has made that statement ridiculous. Besides, when you say that no one knows when life begins, you are conceding that it might begin at fertilization. So wouldn’t the rational and moral approach be to have a moratorium on abortions until we can scientifically establish that the unborn are not living human beings?
Of course, a lot of the pro-choice mob is now saying that abortion should be legal even if it is biologically proven that the unborn are living human beings. That raises the question: if the humanity of the unborn is irrelevant when deciding whether they can be killed, why is it relevant when deciding whether a five-year-old or a fifty-year-old can be killed?
