Aborted baby body parts described as “humanitarian undertakings” as House leader calls for investigation

The PR Firm which is sending releases to the media on behalf of Planned Parenthood has described their grisly aborted baby body parts operation as “humanitarian undertakings” while a GOP House leader calls for an investigation.

The Weekly Standard was first to pick up the horrific language posting it to their website and writing:

“Aborted pregnancy tissue donation and research are humanitarian undertakings that hold the potential to cure disease, save lives, and ameliorate suffering,” according to the “backgrounder” distributed by Camino Public Relations, which has a longstanding relationship with Planned Parenthood Federation of America, the Weekly Standard writes.

The statement is in response to an undercover investigation conducted by the The Center for Medical Progress (CMP) after the group published video recordings of a top Planned Parenthood doctor casually agreeing to sell freshly-extracted parts from babies they had aborted.

Camino Public Relations, which also employs Planned Parenthood workers, does damage control on behalf of the abortion business to the media.

To show you the “Humanitarian” side of using body parts from unborn babies, CMP has uploaded several documents they obtained in their investigation, some containing orders of the aborted babies to Stem Express.

Above is an image of one page from a procurement log of baby parts, CMP said were harvested from Planned Parenthood Mar Monte’s flagship abortion clinic in San Jose, CA, on January 10, 2013. A total of 9 specimens were harvested from 8 different fetuses by StemExpress. At the time, StemExpress paid Planned Parenthood $50/specimen, so this one day of procurement at one clinic yielded $450 for Planned Parenthood Mar Monte. StemExpress also harvests from PPMM clinics in Sacramento, Fresno, and Stockton, and so a similar yield at those clinics just one day per week means at least $1800/week, $7200/month, and $86,400/year for this Planned Parenthood affiliate.

INVESTIGATIONS

Now, House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (CA-23) has called on the House Committees to Investigate the inhumane abortion practices.

In a release published on his website he states, “Life is truly a miracle, and here in the House we have fought and will continue to fight to protect the sanctity of life. I speak for all of my colleagues when I say I was deeply disturbed by reports and video of an organization engaging in such grotesque and inhumane practices. I will be working with House Committees to investigate the claims made by the employee. We should all agree that no life is expendable, and our society has no place for such callous indifference to life.”

U.S. Representative Martha Roby (R-AL) took the the House Floor yesterday to condemn Planned Parenthood.

“This is one of those moments that – as a nation – we have to ask ourselves, who are we?” she stated emotionally.

“Are we really going to tolerate this inhumanity? Are we going to look the other way while babies are brutally killed and organs are harvested for profit? These aren’t specimens they are babies for goodness sake!” she said.

Governors Gregg Abbott and Bobby Jindal have also called for an investigation as have several 2016 presidential hopefuls.

UPDATE: Speaker of the House John Boehner is calling for congressional hearings into the practices of Planned Parenthood, The Daily Caller reports.

“When an organization monetizes an unborn child — and with the cavalier attitude portrayed in this horrific video — we must all act,” Boehner said.

“As a start, I have asked our relevant committees to look into this matter. I am also calling on President Obama and Health and Human Services Secretary Sylvia Burwell to denounce, and stop, these gruesome practices, ” the Ohio Republican added.
