Abortion clinic wraps woman like a mummy and rushes her to the hospital by ambulance

A pro-life group is reporting that a woman wrapped like a mummy has been sent to the hospital from an same abortion clinic where a woman died last year.

According to Operation Rescue, abortionist Lisa Perriera who works at the Preterm abortion clinic in Cleveland, Ohio, was responsible for the botched second trimester abortion that killed Lakisha Wilson on March 21, 2014, but was never held accountable by the Ohio Department of Health or the Medical Board, despite evidence that laws were violated.

A summary of what happened to Lakisha was published by Operation Rescue at the time and read:

Sometime after the abortion, Wilson stopped breathing, according to 911 records, and was transported to Case University Medical Center, where she was placed on life support and pronounced dead on March 28.



The autopsy report showed evidence that Wilson was not properly monitored after her abortion, a lapse that may have prevented her from receiving emergency care in time to save her life.

According to the report, Wilson suffered from “uterine atony,” which is a condition where the uterus does not properly contract after the abortion and thus leads to hemorrhage. Wilson suffered blood loss and went into shock, which was not immediately detected, or she would have been treated and stabilized.

Wilson did receive medications at Preterm that cause uterine contractions in an apparent effort to control the hemorrhage, but it appeared to be too little, too late.

Paramedics were delayed in reaching Wilson by the malfunctioning elevator, according to documentation received by Operation Rescue.

“By then her pupils were fixed and dilated,” they write.

The cramped size of the elevator prevented paramedics from intubating Wilson until she was moved to the ambulance. The hospital placed her on life support to preserve her organs for donation and she was pronounced dead on March 28, 2014, the group states on their website.

Now, Operation Rescue has reported that an ambulance has removed yet another patient from the Preterm abortion clinic in Cleveland, Ohio, and pro-lifers on the scene, who recorded the medical emergency, claim the same abortionist was on duty.

The incident occurred shortly before 2:20 pm on Friday, April 24, 2015.

At 2:30 p.m., pro-life activist Fred Sokol filmed a woman on a gurney, “wrapped like a mummy,” in his words.

According to witnesses, the patient was completely covered in pink and purple blankets as she was wheeled out of the Preterm abortion facility and loaded into an awaiting ambulance.

There appeared to be no visible IV bag or any other sign of ongoing medical treatment.

According to Operation Rescue, in addition to this event and that of Lakish Wilson, other women have been removed by ambulance at this abortion facility in the past.

Most recently, an African-American patient was transported from Preterm by ambulance on March 20, 2015. So far, a request made by Operation Rescue for the 911 records related to the March 20 incident has been uncharacteristically ignored by city authorities.

A video uploaded by Operation Rescue last year shows a pattern of botched abortions at the clinic:

“Unfortunately, we have no one to blame for Perriera’s spate of botched abortions but the Ohio Department of Health, which is well aware of Perriera’s apparent incompetence and other dangerous conditions at Preterm. Yet this agency that should be protecting women from abortion abuses has turned a blind eye to the plight of women in favor of keeping this abortion facility open,” said Operation Rescue president Troy Newman. “While the Department of Health makes excuses for known hazards at Preterm, the causality count continues to rise.”
