#8 – Reducing the “Need” For Abortion
The abortion lobby often proposes that we join them to look for ways to end the need for abortion. It’s a trap called “common ground.” These people know that legal abortion is easier to sell when the public believes that they are done out of need rather than want, and every time we take the “common ground” bait we help them sell that lie.
Welcome to our new series, “Abortion Distortion,” where we turn the tables and make the pro-choice side defend the illogical, deceptive and immoral nature of their positions!

The abortion lobby often proposes that we join them to look for ways to end the need for abortion. It’s a trap called “common ground.”
These people know that legal abortion is easier to sell when the public believes that they are done out of need rather than want, and every time we take the “common ground” bait we help them sell that lie. After all, rational people don’t look for something unless they believe it exists, so when we agree to look for ways to reduce the “need” for abortion, we are agreeing that, sometimes, abortions are needed.
The truth, of course, is that almost every abortion done in America is for non-medical reasons to kill a healthy baby being carried by a woman whose pregnancy does not threaten her life or health and was not the result of rape or incest. And that has nothing to do with need.

When adoption is suggested as an alternative to abortion, the pro-choice side likes to divert attention by talking about the children already in foster care and not getting adopted.
