Four people have been arrested after authorities say they viciously beat a 14-year-old rape victim to force an abortion and then attempted to burn the baby after the attack.
The victim, who was eight months pregnant at the time of the beating, told police she was a virgin before a family member raped her in 2012.
As a result of the rape she became pregnant.
She said that she “did not tell anyone about the sexual assault because … she was embarrassed.”
According to reports, the girl’s relatives found out about the pregnancy between January and March 2013 and “became very nervous and were concerned about … [Child Protective Services] removing children from the residence,” the affidavit says.
After the beating the teen delivered the baby stillborn.
Police say that the adults then took the baby and tried to burn the child to cover their crime.
The teen remained quiet about the rape until May 22, 2015 when she was taken to police by another woman who said she witnessed part of the assault.
Police then arrested 27-year-old Cedric Jones, 45-year-old Sharon Jones, 25-year-old Cecila McDonald and 27-year-old Lonnell McDonald on charges of engaging in organized criminal activity. Police have not released the relationship each perpetrator had with the teen and all are not family members.
The Dallas Morning News reported the details of the assault as follows:
- Sharon Jones gave the girl “
multiple doses of birth control pills, Plan B [emergency contraception] pills and cinnamon tablets … to abort the baby,
- ” police said.
After the pills failed to induce an abortion, Cecila McDonald pinned the girl down while Lonnell McDonald began “repeatedly bouncing up and down” while sitting on the girl’s abdomen. He also is accused of kicking the girl repeatedly.
Cecila McDonald told her, “You ain’t about to get my kids taken away from me,” while Lonnell McDonald laughed, according to the affidavit.
Sharon Jones called Cedric Jones Jr. and told him to come over to the house.
Lonnell McDonald then allegedly told Jones when he arrived that “he had already been kicking the “s*** out of the b***.”
According to the affidavit the girl then began “throwing up and having severe cramps.”
WFAA reported these gruesome details:
- “
She was uncontrollably pushing and delivered what she believed was a stillborn baby … Accomplice Cecila McDonald entered the bathroom and placed the baby in a white plastic mop bucket and removed it from the room.
- “
At some point after the assault, the baby was placed in a short, pill-shaped, black metal charcoal grill and attempted to burn it.”
The affidavit said the family members then plotted to dispose of the body.
“Accomplice Sharon Jones contacted suspect Cedric Jones Jr. approximately two days later and offered to pay him $25 if he would take care of the rest of it. Suspect Cedric Jones, along with a witness, returned to the location at which time Suspect Cedric Jones Jr. placed the remains in a dark green plastic bag with a red drawstring, placed it in his trunk, and stashed the remains in an unknown location.”
In their report entitled, “Under-the-Radar Violence in the Conflict Over Abortion,” Life Dynamics has documented that pregnant girls and women are often assaulted and even murdered when they fail to submit to abortion.
Life Dynamics has also documented that abortion is used to cover for pedophiles who rape and impregnate young girls. That report, entitled, The Cover-Up of Child Sexual Abuse, can be read here.
