A New Mexico pro-life group is calling for their state to investigate Planned Parenthood and other abortion clinics over the possible harvesting of aborted baby parts.
Protest ABQ along with other local leaders say that their state is the “late term abortion capital of the nation.”
As a result, they claim that there is a possibility that what Planned Parenthood has been caught doing in a secret under cover sting video published by the Center for Medical Progress could be happening in New Mexico.
“We are calling for an investigation to make sure this isn’t happening here. It is a federal crime to sell body parts, even those taken from an aborted baby,” the pro-lifers write in their release.
The group points to the late term abortion clinic run by abortionist Curtis Boyd in Albuquerque, Southwestern Women’s Options, where ambulances have been called to the center several times.
Boyd, a former Baptist Minister turned abortion doctor, once admitted to a Dallas news affiliate that what he does is “killing.”
Members of Protest ABQ say that they have a copy of a Southwestern Women’s Options (SWO) informed consent paperwork that every abortion patient must sign indicating that Boyd and (SWO) may be using aborted babies in medical research.
The consent form states, “tissue and parts will be removed during the procedure.”
The form goes on to state, “and I consent to their examination and their use in medical research and their disposal by the clinic and/or physician in the manner they deem appropriate.” This agreement is mandatory, it’s not optional.”
The group says that their state has a law prohibiting the selling of body parts.
“The fact that Southwestern Women’s Options has a stipulation on their consent form stating that aborted baby parts may be used in medical research proves that SWO is in violation of New Mexico law. This stipulation should not be on their consent form, but reiterates the fact that abortionists believe that they can operate above both local and federal law,” the pro-lifers state.
In response, Bud and Tara Shaver of Protest ABQ, along with Fr. Stephen Imbarrato of Priests for Life, Pastor and Apostle Manny Lardizabal of New Mexico Heartland Apostolic Prayer Network, and Pastor Eric Lamb, Associate Pastor at Calvary Chapel of Albuquerque held a press conference outside Planned Parenthood to call on their Governor to initiate an investigation.
Fr. Stephen Imbarrato said the group had gathered outside Planned Parenthood after hearing they were still, “selling baby parts. Baby hearts, baby lives, heads of babies, he said.
“We’re calling on Governor Martinez – we’re calling on Attorney General Hector Balderas to investigate Planned Parenthood and the other abortuaries in Albuquerque, Southwest Women’s Options and the clinic at the University of New Mexico to see indeed if they are involved in any illegal practices,” the Priest added.
Tara Shaver of Protest ABQ said, “We here in New Mexico would be very naive to think that these incidents were only isolated to Planned Parenthood.”
“We are slowly now starting to see the fruit of all of our prayers together,” said Pastor Eric Lamb, Associate Pastor at Calvary Chapel of Albuquerque.
“And we’re protesting what we’ve always known was going on behind these walls. And now there is solid evidence if what is going on.”
“I think this is going to be a true test of our governors, our lawmakers, to now see if they are going to step up and do what we’ve been asking them to do for a long time. And that is to shut these abortion mills down,” Pastor Lamb said outside Planned Parenthood.
The group is urging pro-lifers to contact the New Mexico AG and Governor and demand an investigation ASAP:

Mark and Staff,
Would you please rerun some info on a similar campaign you did around 15 years ago. At that time, it fell on Sen.Hatch, Utah, to squash your data. Many thanks for your persistence.
