CLINIC: Thank you for holding. I’m sorry. Can I ask you to hold a little longer?

CALLER: Oh. Well, I was just actually wondering if you guys do abortions there?

CLINIC: No, we do not.

CALLER: Oh. Well, do you know —

CLINIC: What area of Seattle are you in?

CALLER: I’m in Marysville.

CLINIC: Okay, kind of north?

CALLER: Yeah.

CLINIC: Okay. You can call our Kenmore or Everett. Which one would be more convenient?

CALLER: Probably the Kenmore one.

CLINIC: Okay. They’re at 425-482-1122.

CALLER: Okay. Well, it’s just the thing is I’m going to be, I’ll be 14 next month, and my friend said that they would have to tell my parents. But my boyfriend’s 22. Is he old enough to take care of it and they wouldn’t have to ask him —

CLINIC: Yes, but, Honey, don’t tell anybody that.

CALLER: Oh.

CLINIC: That’s illegal.

CALLER: What?

CLINIC: That your boyfriend is 22 if you’re 13.

CALLER: Well, what could happen?

CLINIC: I don’t want that kind of information. Just call Kenmore and they can help you out, and we don’t call your parents no matter what. We don’t do that. And they won’t call your parents, but I just — that’s not a good thing.

CALLER: Oh. Well, could I come in for a pregnancy test?

CLINIC: You sure can.

CALLER: Because you guys are actually closer.

CLINIC: Uh-huh. You can walk in for a pregnancy test.

CALLER: Oh, okay.

CLINIC: Okay?

CALLER: Well, how much does — well —

CLINIC: Those are free, and you don’t need an appointment. Okay?

CALLER: Oh. Well, if it ended up that I wasn’t pregnant, do you guys have birth control there too?

CLINIC: Yeah, we do. We can get you an appointment for that and get you all taken care of.

CALLER: Oh.

CLINIC: Okay?

CALLER: Well, if I had any other questions, could I call and ask you?

CLINIC: Oh, sure.

CALLER: What was your name?

CLINIC: This is Deborah.

CALLER: Okay.

CLINIC: Thanks.

CALLER: Thanks.

CLINIC: Bye bye.

CALLER: Bye.

RECORDING: Thank you for calling Planned Parenthood of Western Washington’s University District Clinic. Please listen to the following options. (dial sound) Please hold for the operator.

(ringing 1X)

CLINIC: Planned Parenthood. How can I help you?

CALLER: Hi. Yeah. I was calling to see if you guys do abortions there?

CLINIC: Uh-huh.

CALLER: Oh. Well, how much does that cost?

CLINIC: It’s based on your gross monthly income. Do you work?

CALLER: Well, no.

CLINIC: So how do you support yourself?

CALLER: Well, I’m going to be 14 this month, and I live with my parents.

CLINIC: Oh, you live with your parents. Probably about $347. Would you be able to swing that?

CALLER: Well, my boyfriend said that he would pay for everything.

CLINIC: Oh, okay.

CALLER: It’s just the thing is, he’s 22, and he’s got a job, so.

CLINIC: Okay. So yeah. It would be probably $347.

CALLER: Okay. So is it all right if he’s paying for it and stuff like that?

CLINIC: Yeah, that’s fine.

CALLER: Okay. But would you have to tell my parents?

CLINIC: No. Everything’s confidential.

CALLER: Oh. All right. It’s just the thing is, well, we were talking, me and my boyfriend were talking about all this, and we don’t want a whole bunch of people to know about us. If he was paying for it all, would he have to sign any papers or anything?

CLINIC: Well, is he coming with you?

CALLER: Well, yeah. He was going to pay for everything.

CLINIC: Well, how’s he paying? Is he paying with cash, credit card?

CALLER: Cash.

CLINIC: Okay. No, he doesn’t have to fill out anything.

CALLER: Oh, okay. So you wouldn’t have to tell my parents though?

CLINIC: No, I don’t think so.

CALLER: Okay.

CLINIC: Let me just check one other thing, okay? Can you hold for must a moment?

CALLER: Yeah.

(pause)

CLINIC: You there?

CALLER: Uh-huh.

CLINIC: Okay. I was just checking. I was calling our, one of our counseling coordinators to check out one thing because I don’t know — you know, when you’re telling me how old you were and how old your partner was?

CALLER: Uh-huh.

CLINIC: I don’t know as far as legalities as far as because he’s an adult and you’re not, that’s why I’m checking that one out. But she’s with a patient so I can’t get the answer for you right now, but I just wanted to, you know, give you all the information that you would need before you came in.

CALLER: Okay.

CLINIC: So that you —

CALLER: What do you mean by that?

CLINIC: Well, because of the fact that you’re under 16 and he’s an adult.

CALLER: Well, so — if I didn’t tell you, would it matter so much?

CLINIC: Yeah. Well, see right now, like I don’t even know any information about you. (laughs) So I’m just wondering, do you want to just call back in like about an hour?

CALLER: All right.

CLINIC: And I can just — I’ll talk to her and just run it by her and see.

CALLER: Okay.

CLINIC: Okay? It doesn’t sound like it’s unconsensual. I mean, it’s a consensual thing, right?

CALLER: Well, yeah. We’re in love. We’re going to get married.

CLINIC: Oh, okay. And do your parents know about him and stuff?

CALLER: Yeah. Like he works with my dad.

CLINIC: Oh, okay. So your parents know you guys are dating and all that stuff?

CALLER: Yeah.

CLINIC: So it’s not like something where your parents —

CALLER: But they don’t know we’re having sex. I mean, they can’t find out about that at all.

CLINIC: Right. Right.

CALLER: If they knew I don’t know what they would do.

CLINIC: Right. Right. But they know that you guys are dating and that’s cool with them.

CALLER: Uh-huh.

CLINIC: Oh. Okay. Okay.

CALLER: Well, they don’t really like him. But —

CLINIC: (laughs) But still, they know you’re dating and they don’t put up a fuss about that.

CALLER: Yeah. Okay. Well, do you know — like —

CLINIC: Normally, we would — I mean, we wouldn’t normally like have to tell your parents. I don’t think that we would have to tell your parents. But what I’m wondering is, like what are we legally bound to as far as — you know, because like if — usually in that kind of a situation if you’re under 16 and he’s an adult, you have to legally make a report to CPS. So that’s what I was just going to just make sure that we don’t — you know, to see if we would have to do that or not. You know, I don’t want to panic you yet, but I want to just let you know what we might be legally bound to do.

CALLER: Oh, okay.

CLINIC: Does that make sense?

CALLER: Well, so if I told you guys like how old he was, you would have to —

CLINIC: Well, see that’s what I don’t know. That’s what I have to talk to our counseling coordinator about to see what we would be legally bound to. But that’s why I wanted to find out, you know, do your parents know that you’re dating him, blah, blah. So this may not be even something that we’d even have to worry about. But I don’t know. I don’t know but in all fairness to you I think you should know that before you come in. So I’m just going to run it by her and then do you want to give me a jingle back and I can let you know?

CALLER: Well, could I ask you real quick?

CLINIC: Sure.

CALLER: The main reason why I’m worried about all this is because I haven’t had my period since like December 26, and I’m just really scared, so.

CLINIC: But you haven’t done a home pregnancy test yet or anything?

CALLER: Well, no. I didn’t know that those were all that right.

CLINIC: They’re pretty accurate, but you can go into any of our clinics and get a pregnancy test and they’re free.

CALLER: Oh, really? But would they have to tell anybody then?

CLINIC: No, no. I mean, yeah, you can come in and we wouldn’t have to tell anybody at all.

CALLER: Oh, okay.

CLINIC: Yeah.

CALLER: Well, if it turned out that I wasn’t pregnant, could I get birth control there?

CLINIC: Oh, yeah. Just —

CALLER: It’s just me and my boyfriend don’t want anyone to know about all this.

CLINIC: I’m sorry. What?

CALLER: It’s just, me and my boyfriend don’t want to have to worry about all this anymore.

CLINIC: Okay. Hang oh. She’s on the other phone. Let me go get, answer that call. Okay?

CALLER: Okay.

(pause)

CLINIC: Are you there?

CALLER: Uh-huh.

CLINIC: Yeah, that was her. She said if we know the age difference, we’re bound by law to report that to CPS or to the police.

CALLER: The police?

CLINIC: Yeah. Well, it’s because it’s — because of the age difference. If it’s more than 48 months when you’re a minor, it’s considered statutory rape.

CALLER: But he’s not raping me. I mean, we’re in love. We’re going to get married.

CLINIC: I know. But that’s what’s in the legality terms of it. That’s what they’re called — that’s what —

CALLER: Well, what could happen?

CLINIC: What do you mean what could happen?

CALLER: Well, what could happen if you guys find out and report it and —

CLINIC: Well, I mean I don’t know. I don’t know how they would handle it. That’s the problem, because we don’t — you know, we — if we had to report it would turn it over to them, but we don’t know how they deal with it. But, by law, anybody who has a license and knows that has to report that kind of an age difference to CPS or to the local police. So —

CALLER: Oh. So is the best thing just to not say anything about him?

CLINIC: Well, I can’t say that. All I can say is, if we don’t know the age difference — I mean, there’s — and we don’t, you know, then there’s nothing to report. But I can’t say that you can’t tell us that.

CALLER: Oh, okay. Well, if I come in for the pregnancy test and it turned out that I wasn’t pregnant, could I get birth control there?

CLINIC: Sure, yeah. We can set you up an appointment to get birth control.

CALLER: Oh. But would you have to tell anybody anything then?

CLINIC: No, no. I mean, if you’re coming in just to get birth control, that sort of thing, you know, normally like you could come in and get services as a minor without your parental permission if that’s what you’re asking.

CALLER: Oh, okay.

CLINIC: Okay?

CALLER: Okay. Well, what time do you normally do the pregnancy tests?

CLINIC: Well, today we do them up until 4:00.

CALLER: Okay. Do I need an appointment for that?

CLINIC: No. We do a walk-in basis.

CALLER: Okay. Well, if I had any other questions, could I call and talk to you? What was your name?

CLINIC: My name’s Mary.

CALLER: Okay.

CLINIC: Okay.

CALLER: All right. Okay. Thanks.

CLINIC: Bye.

(Dialing, phone ringing 2X)

CLINIC: Aradia Women’s Health Center. How can I help you?

CALLER: Hi. Yeah. I was calling to see if you guys do abortions there.

CLINIC: Yeah, we do.

CALLER: Okay. Well, how much does that cost?

CLINIC: It’s based on your monthly or yearly income on a discounted fee schedule. Can you estimate for me how much you make?

CALLER: Well, I don’t have a job.

CLINIC: Okay. So then the other thing it’s based on is whether you’re in your first or second trimester. First trimester is under 12 weeks, and second trimester is over 12 weeks. Do you know if you might be under 12 weeks?

CALLER: I don’t know. I just know my last period is like January 3rd, and that’s why I’m like worried about all this.

CLINIC: Okay. So the first day of your last period was January 3rd?

CALLER: Yeah.

CLINIC: Okay, yeah. So you’re definitely still in your first trimester at this point. It looks like, if we’re counting from that day, probably about eight weeks and three days or so. So in that case, the fee would be $475. That’s our lowest discounted fee. And that is due at the time of service. We don’t do payment plans.

CALLER: Oh, okay. Well, it’s just the thing is, I’m going to be 14 like on the 20th, and my friend said you guys would have to tell my parents.

CLINIC: No, that’s not true.

CALLER: But my boyfriend’s 22. Could he just take care of it?

CLINIC: He doesn’t need to do anything. We don’t need to tell your parents at all. They don’t need to be involved.

CALLER: But does anybody have to know about me and my boyfriend though?

CLINIC: No.

CALLER: Oh, okay.

CLINIC: No. Your parents don’t need to be involved at all.

CALLER: Okay.

CLINIC: Yeah, so you know, one thing that you might want to look into is the money might be hard for you to come up with —

CALLER: Well, my boyfriend said that he would pay for everything. I mean, he’s 22. He’s got a job and everything.

CLINIC: Okay.

CALLER: So I’m not really worried about that. But I’m just worried about someone finding out.

CLINIC: No. We don’t need to talk to your parents at all. They don’t need to give their consent or anything. It’s just all your consent.

CALLER: Would you have to tell anyone besides my parents?

CLINIC: No.

CALLER: Oh, okay.

CLINIC: No.

CALLER: Okay. It’s just we don’t want anybody to know about us. So if he was paying for everything would he have to sign anything?

CLINIC: Well, if he was paying with a credit card, he would have to sign the credit card slip. But if he was paying with cash, no. If he wanted to be with you during the actual procedure, he would need to sign a consent form.

CALLER: Oh. Okay.

CLINIC: But that’s only if he wants to be with you during the surgery.

CALLER: Well, could he just stay in the lobby or whatever?

CLINIC: Uh-huh. Yeah.

CALLER: Oh, okay. And that’s all right?

CLINIC: Um-hmm.

CALLER: Oh, okay. Like do you think that there would be any way that I’m not pregnant?

CLINIC: Are your periods usually pretty normal?

CALLER: Well, usually, but I haven’t had them that long, so I don’t know.

CLINIC: Uh-huh. Have you done a pregnancy test yet?

CALLER: Well, no.

CLINIC: No? Okay. It’s very possible — are you having any symptoms? Are you nauseous? Are your breasts tender? Are you more tired than normal?

CALLER: No.

CLINIC: No? It’s possible that you might just be having irregular periods, and you might not be pregnant. Did you want to come in for a pregnancy test?

CALLER: Yeah.

CLINIC: Okay. What part of town do you live in?

CALLER: I live in Princeton.

CLINIC: Where’s that?

CALLER: It’s like east of where you’re at.

CLINIC: Oh, okay.

CALLER: Do you know if I — If I took the pregnancy test and it came out that I wasn’t pregnant, could I get birth control there?

CLINIC: Yeah. We would need to make a different appointment for that probably.

CALLER: Oh. But would you have to tell anybody about that though, if I was on birth control?

CLINIC: Nope.

CALLER: Oh, okay.

CLINIC: No, we don’t need to talk to anybody but you about anything that goes on here.

CALLER: Oh, okay. Okay. Well, I just have a lot of questions, but I need to talk to my boyfriend and see. Could I call and talk to you? What was your name?

CLINIC: My name’s Anitra.

CALLER: Okay.

CLINIC: Yeah. You can talk to me or you can talk to anybody who answers the phone. But yeah, you can ask for me if you want.

CALLER: Okay. Thanks.

CLINIC: You’re welcome.

CALLER: Bye.

CLINIC: Aurora Medical Services, this is Lori.

CALLER: Hi, yeah. I was calling to see if you guys do abortions there?

CLINIC: Mm-hmm. Yeah, we do them Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.

CALLER: Okay. Well, how much does it cost for that?

CLINIC: It depends on a bunch of things. Do you have insurance?

CALLER: Well, no. My boyfriend said he would pay for everything.

CLINIC: Do you make any money?

CALLER: Well, no. Well the thing is, I’m going to be 14 later on this month, and my friend told me that you guys would have to tell my parents about all this, but my boyfriend’s 22. Is he old enough to take care of it and you wouldn’t have to tell anybody? He said he’d pay cash for everything.

CLINIC: No, I know. I’m just saying because you could actually probably qualify for medical coupons —

CALLER: Oh, really?

CLINIC: — through the Department of Social and Health Services.

CALLER: But would they have to tell anybody if I was there for that?

CLINIC: No, no. They wouldn’t tell anyone. I mean, you can keep it confidential, if you need to keep it.

CALLER: Okay.

CLINIC: Do you know when you last menstrual period was?

CALLER: It was like February 3rd.

CLINIC: February 3rd? My birthday. (laughs) Hang on a second, I’m gonna just see how exactly how far you’d be.

CALLER: Oh, I mean January 3rd. I’m sorry.

CLINIC: It’s January 3rd?

CALLER: Yeah.

CLINIC: Oh, okay. Okay, so right now you’re between 11 and 12 weeks. So you’re almost 12 weeks actually. So you probably would want to get this done as soon as possible. Because the longer you wait now, the abortion actually changes the kind of procedure they use. It actually changes at —

CALLER: Well, is there any minimum age to get an abortion, or?

CLINIC: Oh, let me find out. Hang on a second, okay?

(music)

CLINIC: Yeah, there’s no parental consent for any age here in Washington state.

CALLER: ‘Cause I’ll be 14 April 4th. So, that would be alright?

CLINIC: Yeah, I mean there’s no age of consent here.

CALLER: Okay.

CLINIC: So, you don’t have to worry about that.

CALLER: Okay.

CLINIC: But, as far as getting it paid for —

CALLER: Well, my boyfriend’s 22. He has a job. Is that alright? He can take of it?

CLINIC: I mean, it’s fine if he wants to. What I’m saying is that it’s real, it’s pretty expensive. So —

CALLER: Well, how much?

CLINIC: Well, because you would be getting a discount, because you don’t make any money, it would be $511 for up to 12 weeks.

CALLER: Okay.

CLINIC: But if you pass 12 weeks, then it would be – it would get more and more expensive. So that would be $650 between 13 and 14 weeks. And after that, it would become a two day procedure, and that would be $893, okay?

CALLER: Okay. So, well, it’s just me and my boyfriend were talking about all this, and we didn’t want anyone to know about us. If he was paying for it all, would he have to sign anything, or have his name on any forms?

CLINIC: Not if it was cash. No.

CALLER: Okay.

CLINIC: But I mean, you would have your name on everything.

CALLER: Alright.

CLINIC: I mean, what this really — What I’m saying is that, I mean, he can pay for it all in cash. But to me, it makes more sense that you would just go and get these coupons from the government and —

CALLER: Oh. But we don’t want anyone to know about us, so.

CLINIC: Well, no one would know except for, you know, the state government and you. Unless, I mean — And if you told them not to send the coupon to your home, then they shouldn’t do that.

CALLER: But would the state government have to say anything about me and my boyfriend, or anything? Like how old he is or anything?

CLINIC: Oh, I see what you’re saying. Hmm. Right. Because that’s illegal.

CALLER: Why? I don’t —

CLINIC: What I’m saying is —

CALLER: We just don’t want anyone to know about us. Why is it illegal?

CLINIC: Oh, its illegal because that’s considered statutory rape. (unclear)

CALLER: What!? He’s not raping me. I mean, we’re in love, we’re going to get married. He’s going to take care of me forever.

CLINIC: No, don’t freak out or anything. I’m not trying to criticize or whatever, but legally in the eyes of the government I’m pretty sure that’s considered statutory rape.

CALLER: Well, what could happen?

CLINIC: What could happen for him? Like, I mean, nothing unless somebody prosecuted him. So, its just —

CALLER: Would you guys?

CLINIC: No.

CALLER: Okay.

CLINIC: No.

CALLER: So, it’d be okay if he came in and you guys wouldn’t have to tell anybody, or get him in trouble or anything?

CLINIC: I don’t think so. I really don’t believe so. I think that your confidentiality is totally held very, very private here. Okay?

CALLER: Oh, alright. Well, I haven’t taken a pregnancy test yet. Would you guys do that beforehand just to make sure?

CLINIC: We would like you to actually do one first. How do you know that your pregnant if you haven’t had a pregnancy test?

CALLER: Well, I just haven’t had my period for a long time and I’m scared.

CLINIC: Okay. I need you to take a pregnancy test first.

CALLER: So do I come in there for that?

CLINIC: You could come in here and do one. That’s fine. Where do you live?

CALLER: I live in Seattle.

CLINIC: Like in downtown Seattle?

CALLER: Yeah.

CLINIC: Yeah? Then I would say that you could go to, I mean, any doctor’s office and get one, or you could even take one from the store.

CALLER: Oh, are those usually right though?

CLINIC: Yeah, they’re pretty accurate if you just follow the directions properly. But if you’re worried about it, then I would say go to Planned Parenthood or something.

CALLER: Okay.

CLINIC: There’s a couple in downtown that you could go to and —

CALLER: Oh, would they have to tell anybody?

CLINIC: Well, you don’t tell them anything. All you tell them is that you want a pregnancy test, and they do it for free.

CALLER: Oh, okay.

CLINIC: Where do you live in Seattle?

CALLER: I live with a friend of mine right now, so.

CLINIC: Like, how — But, where?

CALLER: I’m not really sure. I’m just visiting. But I’m from Yakima, and I’m just visiting her ’cause she told me about you guys and stuff, so.

CLINIC: Oh, okay. Hmm. So this is a tough situation. How — is your friend have a car or something?

CALLER: Well, my boyfriend does.

CLINIC: Oh, okay.

CALLER: Its just she has been through all this before so.

CLINIC: Oh, okay. ‘Cause like, well, you can get one over the counter, like a test, okay?

CALLER: Okay.

CLINIC: And if you don’t want to deal with the government at all, I mean, that’s just the best situation.

CALLER: That’s what my boyfriend said, so.

CLINIC: He doesn’t want to deal with that at all?

CALLER: Right.

CLINIC: Okay, then I would say you should just go get an over-the-counter test to make sure you’re pregnant, first of all. And if that is negative or something, then I would go to a Planned Parenthood.

CALLER: Okay.

CLINIC: And there’s one right downtown, and you can just get a test done. Are you downtown in Seattle? That’s — Well, what I’m asking is you could you come here or do you just want to do it downtown? What’s convenient for you?

CALLER: Well, she told me to call you guys and talk to you guys and go there, so.

CLINIC: Okay. So, can you tell me like where your address is? And then I could tell you what would be closer for you to do.

CALLER: Well, I don’t really want to tell you my address. It’s just, I’m at her house and if like you guys send us anything, it would like be to her family. I’m not on the address, or I’m not usually here to get mail or anything.

CLINIC: Oh, I wouldn’t send you anything. I mean, well, another thing is this, like I’m not trying to scare you away from anything. No one is going to divulge your confidentiality here, okay? First of all, I want you to know that, okay? But they do need like an address in case of needing to send information to you somehow. Okay?

CALLER: Well, could I give you my boyfriend’s address?

CLINIC: Yep, you totally could do that. And its also for emergency stuff, they need an emergency contact, okay?

CALLER: Okay.

CLINIC: So you need to be comfortable about divulging that kind of information, okay?

CALLER: Okay. Well, let me call my boyfriend and see. But I was also wondering, if it came out that I wasn’t pregnant after I do like the home pregnancy test, would I be able to get birth control from you guys?

CLINIC: Yeah, totally.

CALLER: Its just that we don’t want to have to worry about all this again.

CLINIC: Yeah, definitely. I mean, you could even do that after you have your procedure. So you can come here and have a pregnancy test, or you can do it, if your downtown in Seattle, do it downtown. I mean, its really just kind of dependent on where you live, where would be most convenient for you. Or you could just get one over the counter, and then — So that’s your first step, make sure that you’re definitely pregnant. Do you feel any symptoms of pregnancy?

CALLER: What do you mean?

CLINIC: Do you — have you— can you — Well, if you’d be at 12 weeks right now, you might be feeling like that you’re gaining weight, but you may not be showing at all. I mean, you probably would be showing a little bit in your belly area. But have you had any breast tenderness?

CALLER: No.

CLINIC: Have you had any nausea or vomiting?

CALLER: No.

CLINIC: No? Okay. Have you bled or had any cramping or anything like that in the past two months?

CALLER: No.

CLINIC: 2 or 3 months? No? Okay. I mean, you could very well not be having those symptoms, but it’s a good idea to take a pregnancy test first. Okay? Before you start freaking out over everything. But you should surely — If its negative, you could surely come here and get birth control too. Don’t worry.

CALLER: And you wouldn’t have to tell anybody if I was on birth control?

CLINIC: No, not at all.

CALLER: Okay.

CLINIC: Not at all.

CALLER: And you’re sure nobody has to know about any of this?

CLINIC: Yep! We have patients who are underage all the time.

CALLER: Okay. I just wish I could talk to my mom like I talk to you.

CLINIC: Yeah.

CALLER: I need to call my boyfriend and see. But what was your name so I could —

CLINIC: My name’s Lori. Yeah, so if you want to just figure out how you’re going to do that and see where you are located, and if you want to come here, you can come here and get a pregnancy test done.

CALLER: What are your hours?

CLINIC: Today we are actually open until probably around 7:30. But usually we’re only open until around 5:30. Like Mondays and —

CALLER: So, if I came in today I could get it done and that would be —

CLINIC: Oh, what, a pregnancy test?

CALLER: Yeah.

CLINIC: Yeah. Yeah. You could totally do it today. The abortion, the times we schedule are Tuesday, Thursday, Friday. Because of where you’re at and, supposedly — Because we don’t know, first of all, like where you’re at in your pregnancy, like if it is your last menstrual period was on January 3rd, then that would make you at 12 weeks. So we would need to schedule you probably on a Thursday or Friday, just because of not really knowing and not being that confident – in case you would have to come back in and do a two-day procedure, or if you needed to do a two-day procedure.

CALLER: Okay. Just as long as nobody has to know.

CLINIC: Yeah! No nobody will have to know about anything. Okay?

CALLER: All right.

CLINIC: Confidentiality is totally maintained here, okay? So don’t be afraid of all that.

CALLER: Yeah, I feel a lot better.

CLINIC: Yeah. It’s totally legal for you to have all this stuff done at your free will in this state, okay?

CALLER: All right.

CLINIC: So why don’t you figure out how you’re going to do the pregnancy test, first. Okay?

CALLER: Okay.

CLINIC: And then give me a call back, and we’ll figure out from there. Okay?

CALLER: Alright, thank you.

CLINIC: Okay, you’re welcome. Bye, bye.

CALLER: Bye.
