A radically pro-abortion Democrat Congresswoman from California has introduced a bill that would reverse the Hyde Amendment and enable tax funded abortions.
The Hyde Amendment was introduced by Rep. Henry Hyde in 1976 and prohibits taxpayer funds from paying for abortions.
The Equal Access to Abortion Coverage in Health Insurance (EACH Woman) Act was introduced by Barbara Lee, along with Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky (D-IL), Congresswoman Diana DeGette (D-CO) and 61 other Congressional co-sponsors along with several pro-abortion organizations.
“This legislation would ensure that every woman can access ALL of her healthcare options, regardless of how much money she earns or where she lives,” said Congresswoman Barbara Lee. “Regardless of how someone personally feels about abortion, none of us, especially elected officials, should be interfering with a woman’s right to make her own healthcare decision just because she is poor.”
According to the supporter’s press release:
-
The bill ensures that every woman who receives her health care or insurance through the federal government will be covered for all pregnancy related services, including abortion. In addition, it prohibits political interference with decisions by private health insurance companies to offer coverage for abortion care.

Since the passage of the Hyde amendment in 1976, Congress has withheld coverage for abortion services from women insured through the Medicaid program. This restriction has a widespread impact for women across the country as approximately 1 in 6 women of reproductive age (15 to 44) are enrolled in Medicaid. Politicians in 25 states have adopted restrictions that interfere with abortion as a covered health service in the private insurance market, with ten banning coverage in all private plans except in very limited circumstances. And on January 22, 2015 the House again passed H.R. 7, which would codify and expand the Hyde Amendment, apply it to all government spending, and put private insurance coverage of abortion out of reach for most women.
Ironically, the acronym for the bill on twitter is the hashtag #4EachofUs despite the fact that abortion kills a living child and injures and kills their mothers in many instances.
The legislation is being praised by all the abortion on demand groups, including Planned Parenthood.
“This historic bill would help ensure every woman has access to safe, legal abortion — regardless of her income or insurance provider,” Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards said in a release.
“For far too long, this country has penalized low-income women seeking abortion — forcing those who have the least to pay the most in order to access safe, legal care. The EACH Woman Act is our chance to right that wrong…” she said.
Vicki Saporta, President, National Abortion Federation, called abortion basic health care, in her statement supporting the legislation, “While abortion is still a legal right in this country, abortion coverage for low-income women remains one of the leading barriers to reproductive health care in the United States. Every day, we talk to women on our Hotline who face decisions about selling personal items or not paying their rent or utility bills so they can access this basic health care. It’s unconscionable that we have allowed politicians to take away some women’s decisions just because of where they live or their income level.”
Writing in support for the law at The Hill, Miriam W. Yeung echoes others in pushing for tax funded abortions for the poor:
-
That a woman could be forced to carry a pregnancy to term simply by virtue of the fact that she cannot afford to do anything else is a tragedy that has been happening for nearly as long as abortion has been legal. Year after year, the Hyde Amendment bans Medicaid coverage of abortion and denies those who are struggling financially the same full-spectrum reproductive health care available to other women. Through Hyde and other funding restrictions, too many women have been forced to decide between an abortion they cannot afford or continuing a pregnancy they do not want.
When politicians deny coverage, they deny some women the right to make pregnancy decisions—and the harm falls disproportionately on low-income women, women of color, and young women. None of us should have our reproductive rights denied simply because we are struggling to make ends meet. But with these funding restrictions in place, the right to decide when and if to continue a pregnancy belongs only to those who can afford it.
Abortion advocates have ramped up their efforts to fund abortion since the introduction of ObamaCare which Life Dynamics president Mark Crutcher labeled the abortion industry bailout fund.
In this 2013 episode of Life Talk TV the panel discusses how abortion funding in ObamaCare was always the intended goal.
Pro-lifers also cautioned the American people that ObamaCare will be used to fund abortion and limit the care that the sick or elderly could receive.
Those concerns were heightened after revelations came forward which revealed the ObamaCare architect’s views on abortion as a cost saver.
In one of Gruber’s previous writings he described the victims of abortion as “marginal children” and referred to the process of eliminating them as “positive selection.”
He also authored a paper that addressed how the government had saved billions of dollars by targeting abortion to the poor.
E-mails which have recently been made public show how eugenicist Gruber had larger role in ObamaCare than the Obama administration had admitted.
In Life Dynamics‘ documentary on eugenics, Maafa21, they document how abortion and birth control is being used as eugenics.
The film also quotes Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg on abortion in 2009, where she said, “Frankly I had thought that at the time Roe was decided, there was concern about population growth and particularly growth in populations that we don’t want to have too many of.”
