America’s disease is that we have lost respect for human life – and we all know it.

The horror of what took place in Uvalde, Texas, earlier this week is almost unimaginable and its effects will haunt our nation for a long time.
No child should have to worry that they will be shot at school, and no parent should have to worry that when they drop their child off in the morning, that might be the last time they see them alive. But that’s the world we live in.
The question is, how did we get to this
place and how do we turn around.
Of course, within minutes after this shooting took place, some Democrat politicians started trying to score cheap political points by jumping on the gun control issue. But let’s be clear about something. As long as we say that tragedies like this occur because of what is in the perpetrators’ hands rather than what is in their hearts, we are treating the symptom and not the disease.
America’s disease is that we have lost respect for human life – and we all know it. But at the same time, it is the definition of stupidity to complain about this and wring our hands about it, while we allow unborn children to be legally slaughtered by the millions.
What we need to understand is that we can pass all the gun laws we want, we can put armed guards at the doors of every school, and we can open a mental health facility on every corner, but our disease is going to continue getting worse with every unborn child we kill. And you don’t have to take my word for it; just read Galatians 6:7-9.
