Caritas int WSF

On the November 2014 episode of Life Talk TV, the panel interviewed Michael Hichborn who updated our viewers on Caritas Internationalis.

At the time of the interview, Hichborn was working with the American Life League. He has since moved on to start his own organization Lepanto Institute and his research on this topic can be found on his website here.

Caritas, which is run out of the Vatican is basically the umbrella group for the vast majority of Catholic development and social justice organizations around the world.

Among the Catholic groups under their umbrella are Catholic Relief Services, Catholic Charities USA, Development and Peace and others.

Hichborn says that while he was researching the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) group he began to notice references to the World Social Forum, “So I started to look around to see what I could figure out.” Hichborn said.

Hichborn discovered that the World Social Forum is an international communist organization, by their own definition, which pushes abortion and homosexuality.

Hichborn detailed the types of things that are often fund at their events, including a statute of a pregnant woman being crucified, “The idea is that she’s being crucified by fundamentalism. Which is to say, she’s being crucified by anti-abortionists,” points our Hichborn.

According to Hichborn, Catholic participation in these types of groups could explain why there has been a push to soften public opposition to abortion.

Michael Hichborn o Life Talk TV prolife show

Fr. Frank Pavone, national director of Priests for Life and a co-host of Life Talk said that doing some good cannot justify promoting the killing of babies, “Somehow they think, that – yes- even if they are doing very legitimate good stuff, in other arenas, they think that can swallow up, cover over and justify standing idly by while babies heads are being chopped off.”

Doing good on the one hand can’t justify tolerating that evil of abortion on the other,” Fr. Pavone said.

Life Talk TV is a national pro-life show produced in the studios of Life Dynamics, Inc., in Denton, Texas.

Hosting this month’s show are Life Dynamics president and vice president Mark Crutcher and Renee Hobbs, national director of Priests for Life Fr. Frank Pavone, Destiny Herndon-De La Rosa founder of New Wave Feminists and guest hosting in place of Troy Newman this month was Rev. Stephen Broden.
