Some people will agree that abortion is wrong but that the government’s has no right to be involved in it. This is pro-abortion double-talk. Look, the only basis for saying that abortion is wrong is the acknowledgement that it takes the life of a living human being. So what these people are saying is, “If someone wants to slaughter this one specific group of human beings, it is none of the government’s business.” This is pure nonsense. The first duty of government is to protect the lives of its people, so the real question is not whether the government has a right to prevent abortions, but whether it has the right not to. The fact is, any government that allows innocent human beings to be intentionally killed, has no moral authority to even exist.
