A Perfect Solution
Abortion enthusiasts are again trotting out that tired old back-alley/coat-hanger abortion myth.

Now that several states are moving to protect the unborn once Roe vs. Wade is overturned, abortion enthusiasts are again trotting out that tired old back-alley/coat-hanger abortion myth.
They do this despite knowing that virtually every study ever done on this subject – even those conducted by people on their side of this issue – has found that, by 1973, deaths and injuries due to illegal abortion were rare and that the overwhelming majority of illegal abortions were actually done by licensed doctors who were simply breaking the law.

However, the real question is why the pro-life movement should be held responsible for the women who die from illegal abortions.
Think about it. Pro-lifers don’t do abortions! If abortion were outlawed, and illegal abortionists started springing up, every one would be someone who is pro-choice. In fact, every single woman who was ever killed or maimed during an abortion – legal or illegal – was killed or maimed by someone who was pro-choice. So when one of these people says, “If abortion is made illegal, women will die,” what they’re actually saying is, “If you stop us from killing babies, we’re going to start killing women.”
Obviously, once abortion is again illegal, the perfect way to eliminate back-alley abortions is for the pro-choice gang not to do them. They could also help us pass legislation requiring that (a) people who perform illegal abortions are to be prosecuted under the same homicide statutes that apply to any other hired killer, and (b) anyone who coerces a woman to have an illegal abortion, or helps to arrange an illegal abortion, is to be charged as an accessory to homicide.
Of course, the choice mafia is never going to agree to this because they’ve always known that the blood from dirty coat-hangers is on their hands, not ours. This back-alley abortion rhetoric is just a scam to make it look like we are responsible for the pregnant women they are threatening to kill.

The other thing is, if the real motivation for legalized abortion is to save the lives of women, why don’t we legalize rape?
After all, it is not uncommon for a woman to be killed by a rapist to keep her from identifying him to the authorities. Making rape legal would save women’s lives by taking away the motivation for rapists to kill them. We might even consider opening up rape “clinics” where rapists could take their victims.
These places could offer clean rooms, condom machines, emergency contraception and perhaps even doctors on staff in case the rapist injures his victim. In addition, we could require that all rapists must be licensed and periodically tested for AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases in order to remain licensed.
Remember, the pro-choice arguments are that women are going to have abortions regardless of what the law says, and that keeping abortion legal will make sure they occur in a clean and safe environment.
The same dynamics also apply to rape. Since we know that making rape illegal has not stopped rapes from occurring, why not at least try to protect women against back-alley rapes? As preposterous as it is, if the goal is to save women’s lives, legalized rape makes as much sense as legalized abortion.
